KAI Notes That 1.4 Million Train Tickets For The Eid Period Have Been Sold

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI noted that sales of medium and long-distance train tickets for the Eid al-Fitr 2024 period had sold more than 1.4 million or 44 percent of the total seats provided.

The period for transporting the Lebaran 2024 train was set by KAI, starting from D-10 or March 31 to D+10 or April 21, 2024.

KAI Vice President Public Relations Joni Martinus said that KAI provided 3,205,483 seats for the Eid 2024 period.

The medium or long-distance train tickets sold were 1,420,452 tickets or 44 percent of the total tickets provided, Joni said in an official statement, Friday, March 15.

Joni said the number of train tickets sold is still possible to increase considering ticket sales are still being made.

"The number of tickets sold will continue to increase because sales are still ongoing," he said.

Based on KAI data monitoring as of today, ticket sales are highest on April 13, 2024 or D+2, namely 95,115 tickets and April 14, 2024 or D+3, namely 95,613 tickets.
