Rice food assistance is a government program in the form of rice distribution sourced from the government's rice reserve stock (CBP) managed by Bulog. This program is one of the utilizations of CBP in accordance with the mandate of Presidential Regulation Number 125 of 2022 concerning Management of Government Food Reserves.

This rice food aid is one of the government's various economic bearing programs for low-income people.

Arief said that this assistance did look massive because Bapanas continued to coordinate well with local governments and its distribution throughout Indonesia.

Meanwhile, the National Food Agency (Bapanas) is also working with the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) to distribute egg and chicken meat assistance to families at risk of stunting.

The egg and meat assistance provided was purchased directly from farmers through assistance from ID Food belonging to State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).
