JAKARTA - Garuda Indonesia Group has prepared 1.4 million flight seats for Eid homecoming and backflow in 2024, namely April 3 (H-7) until April 21, 2024 (D+11) for both domestic and international routes.
"The momentum of Eid is not only an important momentum for us to contribute to bridging the needs of safe and comfortable flight services but also to optimize the growth of passengers during this period," said Garuda Indonesia President Director Irfan Setiaputra in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, March 13.
In the flow of homecoming and return in 2024, Irfan said Garuda optimizes the operation of wide-body aircraft to the addition of at least 27,500 seats on domestic and international routes, both operated by Garuda and through its subsidiary, Citilink.
The composition of the availability of Garuda Indonesia Group seats consists of at least 706,706 seats provided by Garuda Indonesia by operating the B777-300 ER, A330-300, A330-200 and B737-800NG fleets. Meanwhile, Citilink will prepare at least 710,660 flight seats that will be served with A320 and ATR fleets.
Irfan explained that Garuda Indonesia and Citilink are committed to always being at the forefront of ensuring the need for public air accessibility, especially in welcoming the momentum of Eid this year.
During the peak period of Lebaran, Garuda Indonesia Group will focus on optimizing flight capacity in various domestic favorite destinations, including Padang, Solo, Palembang, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Denpasar and Makassar.
The optimization of flight capacity is also supported by the operation of extra flights where Garuda Indonesia plans to operate at least 170 additional flights, while Citilink operates about 16 additional flights.
"Of course, the projection for the operation of additional flights will continue to move dynamically in line with the needs of the community ahead of the peak season period later," he said.

"We project that the number of requests for flight service needs will continue to grow in line with the trend of people traveling near future holidays.
