The Capital Archipelago Authority (OIKN) has opened its voice regarding PT Bank Central Asia Tbk or BCA (BBCA) which has not yet been groundbreaking at IKN until now.

In fact, major banks such as BCA, namely Bank Mandiri to BRI, have started the construction of their office building at IKN on February 29.

OIKN Deputy for Funding and Investment Agung Wicaksono said his party had met with representatives from Bank BCA some time ago. However, he admitted that BCA was still considering the location of the construction.

"Yes, the name is selling the location and the land must be suitable. Yesterday my director met the director of BCA, but indeed the location is not suitable," Agung said in response to VOI's question when met at the Mithlaza Hotel, Jakarta, Thursday, March 7.

Agung added that BCA's interest in building an office at IKN has entered. However, BCA is still looking for a suitable location.

"It's just a location that doesn't fit, but the interest (investing) is already running. What's called buying land for sure, right, you have to get the right one," he said.

When asked further whether BCA will participate in the sixth groundbreaking phase in May, Agung will not be able to provide further information.

"Later it will be leaked (spill) because (the groundbreaking target) there must be investors from the private sector," he said.

As previously reported, BCA Executive Vice President Corporate Communication and Social Responsibility, Hera F. Haryn said that his party would still coordinate with all stakeholders related to groundbreaking at IKN.

"Regarding the office development plan in IKN, in principle we will coordinate with all stakeholders, including banking authorities and regulators," he said.

Hera also has not been able to reveal the schedule for the BCA office groundbreaking at IKN.

"BCA is committed to always providing quality services to all beloved customers, both in the online and offline ecosystems," he said.

For your information, in the OIKN presentation document in December 2023, the groundbreaking phase 4 at IKN will initially be attended by 15 investors, including PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA).

However, until now, BBCA has not realized project development at IKN.
