PLN Successfully Operates Phase 1 PLTS Capacity Of 10 MW At IKN

PT PLN (Persero) through PLN Nusantara Power has succeeded in connecting the State Capital Solar Power Plant (PLTS) (IKN) Nusantara to the transmission network or phase I synchronization of 10 Megawatts (MW) out of a total of 50 MW.

With the operation of this PLTS, the IKN area is electrified from environmentally friendly energy.

PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo emphasized that his party is committed to continuing to support the government's efforts to build IKN with a smart, beautiful and environmentally friendly forest city_\ concept.

In addition to utilizing solar power, PLN will utilize hydro potential such as rivers and lakes around IKN.

"We all-out support green electricity infrastructure in This will be the best capital city where everything will be based on state of the art of technology, a clean energy source for IKN supported by the most up-to-date and aesthetically beautiful Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based smart technology," Darmawan said, Saturday, March 2.

President Director of PLN Nusantara Power Ruly Firmansyah emphasized that his party believes that PLTS IKN can operate on time and can be used to electrify IKN during the 79th Independence Day ceremony of the Republic of Indonesia.

The first phase synchronization with a capacity of 10 MW has been successfully carried out according to schedule. We will continue with synchronization for the remaining 40 MW and carry out trials until later this PLTS can operate commercially to electrify IKN," said Ruly.

PLTS IKN 50 MW became the pioneer of the EBT plant in the IKN area. The groundbreaking was carried out directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo in November 2023. This PLTS was built on an area of 80 hectares with 21,600 solar panels and was able to absorb up to 337 local workers.
