JAKARTA - Director General of National Export Development of the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) Didi Sumedi revealed, Indonesia managed to record organic product transactions of 6.02 million US dollars at the German Biofinex Exhibition, which is the second largest organic product exhibition in the world.
"The transaction achievement at Biofach 2024 will still increase, considering that there are trade contracts that are still not being followed up. At this year's event, Biofach was attended by 2,550 companies from 94 countries and visited by 35,000 buyers from 128 countries.
Apart from Europe, participants and visitors to the Biofach Exhibition come from various regions such as the United States, Asia, Africa, Australia, and the Middle East.
Furthermore, Miftah Farid, Director of Primary Product Export Development (PEPP) Miftah Farid explained, in 2023, demand for organic products around the world was recorded at 231.52 billion US dollars.
