Jokowi Inaugurates Presidential Instruction 10 Regional Roads And 1 Bridge In Bontang, East Kalimantan Worth IDR 561 Billion

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated the Regional Road Instruction (IJD) in East Kalimantan Province today. The inaugurated infrastructure includes 10 roads and one bridge with a length of 50.9 kilometers (km).

"It has been built at a cost of Rp561 billion and by saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, I inaugurate the implementation of the Regional Road Inpres in East Kalimantan Province," Jokowi said as seen on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube, Friday, March 1.

The inauguration of the Regional Road Inpres for East Kalimantan Province is part of a series of Jokowi's working visits to the province.

The ten regional roads and one bridge in East Kalimantan Province are:

- Riko Maridan di Kabupaten Penajam Paser Utara sepanjang 6,5 km dengan biaya Rp44,7 miliar;- Akses ke Wisata Goa Batu Tapak Raja di Kabupaten Penajam Paser Utara sepanjang 9,6 km dengan biaya Rp91,3 miliar;- Jembatan Akses ke Wisata Goa Batu Tapak Raja sepanjang 20 meter dengan biaya Rp8 miliar;- Loleng di Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara sepan 2.5 km dengan biaya Rp26,1 miliar;- Simpang Batu Labuan di Kabupaten Paser sepanjang 5.8 km dengan biaya Rp50,2 miliar;- Simpang Poros Tanjung Isuy Tanjung Jan Pulau Lanting di Kabupaten Kutai Barat sepanjang 4,8 km dengan biaya Rp45,4 miliar;- Proklamasi di Kota Balikpapan sepan sepan 2.5 kilometer dengan biaya Rp43,4 miliar; dan- Long Hubung Jalan Poros di Kabupaten Kutai Timur sepan 0,65 km dengan biaya Rp89,4 miliar;- Ir. Soekarno-Hatta M. Roem Urip Soemhardjo di Kota Bontang sepanjang 4 km dengan biaya Rp54,1 miliar;- Lenggo Teluk Sulaiman di Kabupaten Berau sepan 8 km dengan biaya Rp59,1 miliar; dan- Long Hubung Jalan Poros di Kabupaten Mahakam Ulu sepan 6,5 km dengan biaya Rp49,1 miliar.

This infrastructure development is part of the government's commitment to improve connectivity and support economic growth in the regions. These regional roads are expected to facilitate access to transportation, facilitate the mobility of citizens, and open up new economic opportunities in East Kalimantan.

Previously, on Thursday, February 29, Jokowi also inaugurated the PT Kaltim Amonium Nitrat or PT KAN factory in Bontang.

In his remarks, Jokowi said, Indonesia still imports 21 percent of nitrate amonium. With the construction of a factory that has a production capacity of 75 thousand tons a year, the import of nitrate amonium can be reduced by 8 percent.

"The rest is still 13 percent, you can finish it all, so 100 percent of the raw materials for the NPK are in the country," he said.

After leaving Bontang, the Head of State shifted to Penajam Paser Utara to carry out a number of groundbreaking or groundbreaking of infrastructure projects in the Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN) area. The groundbreaking of the five IKN constructions took place on Thursday, February 29, 2024 and Friday, March 1, 2024.

A number of infrastructure projects at IKN have entered the fifth groundbreaking, including the construction of the BNI Office, Mandiri Office, BRI International Microfinance Center, BPJS Health Office, Bank Kaltimtara, Telkom Smart Office, Studio TVRI and the command center.

In addition to groundbreaking, Jokowi reviewed the progress of the Presidential Palace construction. Until now, the progress of the construction of the facility has reached 74 percent.
