JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) reported that the progress of phase 1 infrastructure development in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) has reached 76 percent so far.

"Now the progress (IKN) is 76 percent, the average progress per week is 1-2 percent," said Head of the IKN Development Task Force (Kasatgas) of the Ministry of PUPR Danis H Sumadilaga in Jakarta, Monday, February 26.

Danis said, with the average progress of IKN development, his party is optimistic that the initial infrastructure completion is still in accordance with the initial schedule.

"If we take an average of 1.5 percent, the remaining time is around 16-17 weeks. God willing, in July-August (IKN progress) is already more than 90 percent. So, it is already functional," he said.

He added that a number of government buildings could be functional in July-August. This is because the completeness of the government building already exists.

"If the building and so on functionally there is furniture, electricity, water and so on," he said.

According to Danis, the construction of the IKN project will not experience significant obstacles even though it will enter the momentum of Eid 2024.

"God willing (the development of IKN will not be hampered), we also try to make workers even though fasting and Eid with certain incentives want to continue working on solving," he said.

Even so, Danis has not been able to convey the amount of incentives that will be given to these workers.

"Again (discussed) to make the point interesting," he said.
