9 SOE Strategic Projects Targeted To Be Completed Before The End Of Jokowi's Government

JAKARTA - Special Staff (Stafsus) of the Minister of SOEs Arya Sinulingga is optimistic that nine strategic projects of state-owned companies can be completed during the administration of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Currently, the completion of the project is also being accelerated.

Furthermore, Arya said, one of the things that was being worked on was the completion of the Sanur Special Economic Zone (SEZ) project.

After the hotel is inaugurated, then what is being pursued for the completion of the construction is the hospital.

"SEZ Sanur, yesterday the hotel was officially registered. Just waiting for the hospital, maybe the estimated second semester is already running," he said when met in the Central Jakarta area, Wednesday, February 21.

Apart from the Sanur SEZ, Arya said that his party was also boosting the refocusing of the Food SOE organization. Then, the transition of coal into new and renewable energy (EBT).

Furthermore, Arya said that the strategic project that is also being accelerated is the financial restructuring of Pharmaceutical SOEs. There is also an unlock value of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI).

"The BSI unlock process is also ongoing," he said.

Then, continued Arya, the Tanjung Benoa New project is also targeted for completion in the second semester of this year. This includes the restructuring and integration of BUMN works.

"Just the restructuring and integration of BUMN works. It takes time, but that's the initial stage. It means, the shape is starting to appear," he said.

Arya said, as many as 79 of the 88 SOE startegis projects have been completed.

Arya said that the remaining nine strategic projects would be completed before President Jokowi's administration was completed.

"Hopefully October it's over," he explained.
