JCI Opens Slightly Weaker 0.03 Percent, 188 Shares Rise

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) at the opening of trading Wednesday 21 February 2024 weakened 2.38 points or 0.03 percent to 7,350.221 at 09.20 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB) this morning.

Meanwhile, the JCI opened at 7,352.60, while the highest level for the JCI today was 7,370.88 and the lowest was 7,340.33. The total share trading volume on the IDX reached 2.11 billion, with a transaction value reaching IDR 1.54 trillion. There were 188 stocks rising, 223 stocks falling, and 220 flat.

The LQ45 index weakened 0.14 percent, while Japan's Nikkei 225 index fell 0.38 percent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng strengthened 1.81 percent, China's Shanghai Composite strengthened 0.50 percent, while Singapore's Straits Times fell 0.31 percent.

As for those who entered the ranks of Top Gainers, namely PT MD Picture Tbk (FILM) rose 200 or 4.18 percent to IDR 4,990, PT Petrindo Jaya Kreasi Tbk (CUAN) rose 175 or 2.48 percent to IDR 7,225, PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS) rose 40 or 3.43 percent to IDR 1,205.

Meanwhile, among the top losers, PT Transcoal Pacific Tbk (TCPI) shares fell 175 or 2.20 percent to IDR 7,775, PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (AMRT) shares fell 60 or 2.15 percent to IDR 2,730, and PT Astra Otoparts Tbk (AUTO) shares fell 40 or 1.69 percent to IDR 2,320.
