JAKARTA - Minister of Trade (Mendag) Zulkifli Hasan denied his meeting with the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto regarding the reshuffle issue that had resurfaced.

"The rice business (not a reshuffle). h! Wow, that's none of our business," said Zulhas at the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, Jakarta, Monday, February 19, 2024.

Zulhas emphasized that his meeting with Airlangga was to report on the situation and condition of basic food commodities ahead of Eid Al-Fitr 2024 and that many premium rice in the modern retail market were not taken.

"That was called by the Coordinating Minister, I also just reported with the Coordinating Minister, I was traveling to modern markets, now in modern retail, some of the premium rice is taken, some are not because the HET is 69 more," he said.

Furthermore, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said that the issue of cabinet reshuffle was the prerogative of President Jokowi.

"If it is (prerogative) sir, sir," he said.

Airlangga said that until now there has been no special discussion regarding President Jokowi's cabinet reshuffle plan with the ministers. Including himself.

"Nothing, nothing," he said.

Previously, the issue of a cabinet reshuffle or reshuffle by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) again emerged after the completion of the 2024 election vote on February 14.
