Getaci Toll Project Auction Extended, When To Start Construction?

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) revealed that the auction process for the Gedebage-Tasikmalaya-Cilacap (Getaci Toll Road) was extended.

Director General of Public Works and Housing Infrastructure Financing at the Ministry of PUPR Herry Trisaputra Zuna said the project auction extension process was carried out due to the addition of expansion of construction land.

"It's still in the process, yesterday there was an additional clearance zone. So, add (land acquisition) as well as be structured for business entities," said Herry when met in Jakarta, Monday, February 5.

Not much information was conveyed about the Getaci Toll Road, it's just that Herry ensured that the construction process for the Getaci toll road project could begin in 2024.

He targets the extension of the toll road project auction to be completed within the next three months.

"The target for completion of the auction is 1 + 3 (month) at the earliest. So, it's about four months away," he added.

As previously reported, the Director General of Highways of the Ministry of PUPR Hedy Rahadian targets that the Getaci Toll Road construction will begin in early 2024.

This is because of the re-tender of the Gedebage-Tasikmalaya-Cilacap (Getaci) Toll Road in April 2023.

"So, we auctioned it by solicited. It will likely be made in stages, so the first stage we propose is Gedebage to Tasikmalaya. So, the construction is likely early next year for stage 1," he said.

Based on data from the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) of the Ministry of PUPR, the Gedebage-Tasik-Ciamis toll road which will be the longest toll road in Indonesia has a total length of 108.3 kilometers (km).

The investment value is IDR 37.64 trillion. Initially, the toll road included in the National Strategic Project (PSN) was planned to pass through two provinces, namely West Java with a length of 171.40 km and Central Java with a length of 35.25 km with a total length of 206.65 km.
