Amman Mineral Smelter Construction Progress Reaches 76 Percent

JAKARTA - PT Amman Mineral Industri, a subsidiary of PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN) reported that until December 2023, the progress of the construction of a copper smelter and precious metal refining facility (PMR) had reached 76.1 percent.

Vice President of the OD Corporate Communications and Investor Relations Amman, Kartika Octaviana said, the results of verification of the three-month progress for the period October to December from independent verifiers stated that the progress had reached 76.1 percent of the development plan of 72.4 percent.

Meanwhile, the progress of the construction of the PMR construction has reached 72.7 percent of the development plan of 72.1 percent.

"This achievement is a manifestation of Amman's commitment as one of the largest copper and gold threshold companies in Indonesia to always be involved in the development of the national mining industry which brings benefits to the regional and national economy," Kartika said in a statement to the media, Monday, February 5.

Kartika stated that his party is optimistic that the progress of the physical construction of the smelter and PMR will run well to achieve the construction completion target by the end of May 2024 and start the commissioning process in June 2024.

Kartika said, after operating, the total input capacity of the copper smelter facility and PMR Amman is estimated at 900,000 kilo tin per year (ktpa) concentrate from the Batu Hujau mine and the Elang project.

The products from this processing will be in the form of copper cathodes which reach 222 ktpa and sulfate acid reaches 830 ktpa. Meanwhile, the PMR facility will produce 18 tpa gold bullion, 55 tpa silver bullion d 70 tpa selenium.
