Pertamina Guarantees Availability Of Fuel During Elections In Papua

PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Papua Maluku guarantees the availability of fuel oil (BBM) stocks in the General Election (Pemilu) process throughout Papua.

Area Manager of Communication Relations and CSR Pertamina Patra Niaga Sub Holding Commercial and Trading Regional Papua Maluku, Edi Mangun in Jayapura, Friday, February 2, said this availability was carried out in supporting the stages of the election.

"We also provide fuel, including aviation fuel, to anticipate additional flights," he said, as reported by Antara.

According to Edi, so that airlines used for logistics distribution so that the movement of people is increasing in the context of campaigning is maintained.

"In supporting the election, we continue the work of the Christmas and New Year's Task Force (Nataru) to maintain the reliability of fuel stocks," he said.

He explained that the Nataru Task Force, which was in the form of continuing its work yesterday, with a national agenda, namely the general election, which applies throughout Indonesia, including Papua Maluku.

"We are still preparing normal stocks above the average for that, people don't have to worry about the availability of fuel during the election," he said again.

He added that the local Pertamina also appealed to candidates or candidates for regional heads not to use subsidized fuel in winning votes. "If found, then Bawaslu and the police will take action according to the applicable law because subsidized fuel is for the benefit of the people, not for political purposes," he said again.
