Pertamina's Gamsunoro Ship Towards The Suez Canal After Passing The Red Sea

PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) said that the MT Gamsunoro ship had completed the loading process at Rabigh Port, Saudi Arabia and left the Red Sea area to sail to the Suez Canal.

"Currently, the ship has returned to sailing to the Suez Canal for further travel to American waters. Alhamdulillah, the entire crew and condition of the ship are safe and safe," said Director of Crude and Petrolium Tanker PIS in a statement quoted by ANTARA, Friday, February 2.

Brilian explained that the MT Gamsunoro ship, which was widely reported for qualifying for sailing in the Red Sea, was a ship owned by PIS. The ship, which was built in 2010, was operated to transport and distribute Indonesian crude, flagd, and was also manned by Indonesian crews.

"The PIS team continues to carry out strict monitoring since the Red Sea area heats up and continues to monitor the development of the situation. We are also coordinating closely with relevant authorities in each region so that the Gamsunoro Ship can sail and operate safely and smoothly," said Brilian.

PIS, said Brilian, intensely coordinated with the Singapore Maritime & Port Authority, the Defense Attache of the UAE Embassy, the Directorate General of Sea Transportation of the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation, and others.

"We are committed to ensuring that every trip of our ship such as MT Gamsunoro can run safely and smoothly. This is a tangible manifestation of our global go commitment as well as improving our service competence," he said.

The MT Gamsunoro ship is one of the 61 ships belonging to PIS that sailed on international routes. In 2023, PIS is recorded to have sailed on five continents with a total of 50 international routes.
