Pertamina Patra Niaga Facilitates Purchase Of Carbon Loans

PT Pertamina Patra Niaga facilitates the purchase of Carbon Loans for carbon-neutral flights in order to support efforts to decarbonize business partners.

"Pertamina Patra Niaga not only sells aviation fuel to our partners, in this case aviation consumers, but also has the concept of B2B Pertamina One Solution, we offer solutions for the decarbonization needs of emissions from the consumer business. This is in line with our goal, namely as a decarbonization journey partner, as an effort to support the realization of Indonesia's Net Zero Emission in 2060," said Pertamina's President Director Patra Niaga Riva Siahaan in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Thursday, February 1.

Riva expressed pride for Pertamina Patra Niaga to support the implementation of "Carbon Neutral Flight" at the age of 75 years Garuda Indonesia, through cooperation in carbon trading initiatives.

This collaboration is an effort by both parties to support the realization of the national goal of achieving Indonesia's Net Zero Emission in 2060.

As an effort to provide decarbonization solutions for its business partners, Pertamina Patra Niaga opens up opportunities for carbon trading business with domestic and international companies.

One of them is for consumers in the aviation business, by facilitating the national airline Garuda Indonesia, in purchasing an Emission Reduction Certificate (SPE) in the context of implementing the 75th GA Joy Flight Anniversary which was previously held on Tuesday, January 23.

SPE is part of a documented emission reduction management mechanism in proof of emission reduction by businesses and/or activities that have gone through Measurement, Reporting, and Verification, or Measurement, Reporting, and Verification as well as recorded in the National Climate Change Control Registration System in the form of a number and/or registration code.
