Staff Of Erick Thohir Denies The Reduction Of Argo Parahyangan Train Schedule So Profits To Play

TANGERANG - Argo Parahyangan's train schedule (KA) has decreased from 14 trips to six trips earlier this year. The lack of train travel schedules is said to be related to efforts for people to switch to using the HIGH Speed Train which also serves the Jakarta-Bandung route.

The reduction in travel can be seen from the latest train schedule which was previously available until 22.00 WIB, but now it's only until 18.30 WIB.

In response to this, the Special Staff of the Minister of SOEs, Arya Sinulingga, denied the reduction in this schedule as an attempt to downslidection. He said Argo Parahyangan was not a rival to the HIGH Speed Train, so there was no connection between the two regarding the travel schedule.

"It's not the opponent. (Together to Bandung) but the high-speed train is not KA Parahyangan. It has nothing to do with it," he said when met at Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Banten, Tuesday, January 30.

Reflecting on other countries, continued Arya, the rival of the high-speed train is basically by plane. Because, according to Arya, it cannot be juxtaposed with other types of trains.

Regarding the number of deserted taxi passengers, said Arya, passengers on the dumpling mass transportation mode are fluctuating. This means that sometimes there is an increase or decrease at certain times.

"We'll just have to wait, maybe now it's down. Don't just say how many days directly we are said to be quiet," said Arya.

"It could be that the time is not (crowd) anymore, how many passengers a month. There will be a report from KCIC later," he continued.

According to Arya, this condition is not only experienced by rail transportation modes but also airlines. He said, at certain times the occupancy rate of passenger seats or occupancy is not always full.

Arya said the number of passengers was also greatly influenced by the time of departure in the busy period or not. Because of that, Arya said to see whether or not the high-speed train enthusiasts were quiet based on data per month.

"Don't because someone took the train at that hour, we said it was quiet, we couldn't. Try taking the plane during the days or hours it's quiet," said Arya.

In an effort to maximize the occupancy rate of seating or Okupanish, Arya continued, a dynamic tariff or dynamic pricing scheme was implemented for premium economy classes starting from February 3, 2024 departure.

For your information, through this scheme, it is possible for the ticket price of the Cepamash Train to be cheaper at certain departure hours. This is because the price of train tickets is different in one day.

"We'll see, if the peaks are a lot of fans, it's quiet, it's less (interesting), so we've (made) dynamic," he said.
