The Concept Of IKN Will Automatically Advance Around Areas, Here's The Explanation

The Capital Authority of the Archipelago (OIKN) said that the IKN development in East Kalimantan would be connected to the development of partner areas and Eastern Indonesia.

"So, with this partner area, IKN is definitely not alone. The task of IKN is to build not only IKN areas, but will also be connected to the development of partner areas, even development in Eastern Indonesia," said Deputy for Green Transformation and Digital OIKN Mohammed Ali Berawi in Jakarta, quoted Saturday, January 27.

Ali said that IKN would later be built with the concept of three cities or three cities, namely IKN, Balikpapan and Samarinda.

"For now, because there are many proofs of concept for showcase technology, OIKN is collaborating with the Balikpapan regional government regarding the implementation of advanced traffic management systems. We have coordinated with Balikpapan, which showscase-showcase will build how to regulate traffic," he said.

According to Ali, the high hope for the future after all these plans are built is that the areas around IKN will automatically progress.

He said, now that IKN is in the development stage, the supply chain is already moving. For example, there are about 30 percent of the IKN construction workers from local workers. Meanwhile, as many as 70 percent of them are from other provinces of Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Java and other regions of Indonesia.

Then, from the supply chain the material also moves. Ali Berawi said, the IKN development material was not only taken from Kalimantan. However, it was also taken from the Java and Sulawesi regions. In the future, he continued, the massive development is not only in the IKN area but also in the region.

"This shows that Indonesia has started to be critical, here. Hopefully this hope will be done," he added.

Meanwhile, based on Law Number 3 of 2022, more inclusive and equitable economic growth through the acceleration of development of Eastern Indonesia Region which was brought up by the development of IKN as a superhub economy is one of the main success factors to realize the 2045 Golden Indonesia Vision.

The concept of IKN superhub is designed to operate on three related and integrated levels in the vision. Indonesia's reinmagined locally Integrated, Globally Connected, and Universally Inspired.

The vision of locally integrated or domestically integrated means that the IKN superhub economy changes the face of the Indonesian economy so that it becomes more inclusive through three-city strategies (IKN, Balikpapan and Samarinda) as well as cooperation with other regencies/cities in East Kalimantan Province.

Then, the globally connected or globally connected vision means that the IKN economic superhub can drive advanced economic activity and is highly competitive in order to be able to put Indonesia in a more strategic position in the world trade route, the flow of investment and technological innovation.

Meanwhile, the universally inspired or universally inspired vision is that the IKN economic superhub is built based on the best examples of intelligent, inclusive and sustainable cities in the world.
