JAKARTA - The people of Jagabaya Village, Bogor Regency who are members of the Lower Flow Community Movement (Gema Abah) attended an audience with Commission V of the Indonesian House of Representatives at the Parliament Building, Senayan, Jakarta, today.

It was not without reason that they came to the people's representative building. Gema Abah, which in this case was represented by Ishak, conveyed his aspirations regarding the completion of the road in Parung Panjang, Bogor Regency, which often takes victims.

Ishak explained that Parung Panjang Street is getting more and more chaotic day by day. He assessed that so far residents living around the area have really wasted time achieving their goals.

"Maybe Mr. Haji Mulyadi (a member of Commission V DPR RI) has come there and already knows how Parung Panjang is chaotic. So what if for me, yes, Parung Panjang people are really wasteful, wasteful of time, waste of time!," said Ishak in an audience with Commission V DPR RI, Monday, January 22.

"Why do I say it's waste of time? So in Parung Panjang it's no longer a national traffic jam, we traffic jams every day. Moreover, for us workers. Every day we get traffic jams for more than 1 hour to go to work, we haven't come home from work yet," he continued.

He considered that almost all residents in the Parung Panjang area had to take up to about 10 hours in a five-day working period just to get to their respective destinations.

"I consider us to have sacrificed 1 day for 2 hours for just one day. We are actively working 5 days, 2 hours 5 (days) 10 hours. So in one week we spend only 10 hours. What should be productive but we spend from Parung Panjang, not to mention a month if we multiply it," he said.

"So, Parung Panjang people are really wasteful. We are not really wasteful, what makes wasteful is the government. The government can't guarantee us to work properly, make a safe and peaceful living," added Ishak.

Suddenly, Ishak also questioned the existence of local governments and the central government so far. He considered that the government had been sleeping for too long or even did not care about the fate of the people in the area.

"So so far (the government) has been going on. Now it's been a sophisticated era, you know, there is media, there is online, not to mention from the media, the press, journalists, how do you sleep over time? Or maybe you often use headsets, so you don't smell it. But, right, Parung Panjang is still in Indonesia, you know and from here to Parung Panjang it's closer, but no one wants to (improve)," he said.

Not only that, Ishak even told about the condition of residents in the area who often lost relatives, children, wives and husbands, due to very severe and dangerous road conditions.

"Then as long as you know that in Parung Panjang there are many children who are orphans, many wives are widows, not to mention many are disabled. I actually want to cry badly by being invited here and can talk like this and crying, I don't know if I'm happy or not, but basically I'm happy," he said.

With this meeting that has been held, Ishak also hopes that Commission V of the DPR RI can really solve this problem.

This is because Ishak assesses that the people who sit in the seats of the DPR RI are representatives to listen to the aspirations of the people.

"Hopefully with us we can come here, through the kindness of Mr. Haji Mulyadi Parung Panjang, it can change," he added.
