OIKN Affirms That The Departure Of The Djarum-Wings Group From The Nusantara Consortium Is Not True, This Is The Explanation

The Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) confirmed that the issue of the departure of the Djarum Group and Wings from the Nusantara Consortium led by Sugiarto Kusuma in the Nusantara Hotel project was not true.

OIKN Deputy for Funding and Investment Agung Wicaksono said that both of them had not been members of the Nusantara Consortium from the start working on the Nusantara Hotel project at IKN.

"So, Djarum and Wings Group are not right to leave the Nusantara consortium. The Nusantara consortium that built the Nusantara Hotel consisted of 10 companies that were mentioned at that time, indeed Djarum and Wings were not included there," Agung said in an online media briefing, Tuesday, January 16.

Even so, Agung ensured that the two large investors would continue to support the development of IKN through other development projects, one of which was the Botanical Garden project.

"However, Djarum and Wings participated together with a consortium to build IKN for other developments, for example in the development of a botanical garden," he said.

Thus, Agung also emphasized that the issue of the departure of the Djarum and Wings Groups was not true.

"So, if you say that leaving is not true and of course it does not interfere with the project (IKN)," he added.

Previously, it was reported that the Djarum and Wings Groups did not participate in building the Nusantara Hotel project known in December 2023.

Whereas at that time referring to the documents distributed by OIKN as of September 19, 2023, it was stated that the Agung Sedayu Group (ASG) Consortium that built the mixed use project consisted of hotels, malls and offices followed by 10 large Indonesian companies, including Djarum and Wings.

The details are that the consortium consists of 10 large companies, namely Agung Sedayu Group, Salim Group, Sinarmas, Pulauintan, Djarum, Wings Group, Adaro, Barito Pacific, Mulia Group, to Astra Group.

However, based on a report as of December 2023 distributed by the IKN Authority, the names of the Djarum and Wings Groups are no longer listed in the membership of the Nusantara Consortium. Their position was replaced by Kawan Lama Group and Alfamart.
