Invite Prabowo At Christmas Celebration, Erick Thohir: Part Of The Family Of SOEs

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir revealed the reasons for inviting Defense Minister (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto to a Christmas celebration with SOEs. He said Prabowo was a BUMN family.

Furthermore, Erick explained that Prabowo Subianto was the grandson of Margono Djojohadikoesoemo. Margono himself is the founder of PT Bank Nasional Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (BBNI).

"Well, he is, Mr. Defense Minister, Mr. General Prabowo Subianto is a BUMN family too. Why? Because he is the grandson of Mr. Margono Djojohadikoesoemo, founder of Bank Nasional Indonesia aka BNI," he said while delivering a speech at the Christmas celebrations of the Ministry of SOEs and BUMN 2023 at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Monday, January 15.

Currently, continued Erick, BNI has become the fourth largest bank in Indonesia. In fact, it has now spread to foreign countries.

"And this is Indonesia's national service since 50-60 that has raised the Indonesian flag in London, Japan, and many countries," he said.

Erick also said that currently BNI is also getting an important task from the government to consolidate Indonesian migrant employees who provide a lot of foreign exchange.

"This means that Pak Prabowo's family's contribution to BUMN is real. Our big family too, like you open your hands, you accept me when I first took office," he said.

On this occasion, Erick also conveyed a message to Prabowo Subianto to maintain the tolerance of the ummah in Indonesia.

"With all sincerity, I and all those present today entrust to Pak Prabowo, sir, keep the tolerance of Indonesians for today and the future, we entrust Pak Prabowo to the unity of the Indonesian nation, so that we become a developed, prosperous and global country," he concluded.
