JAKARTA - The oil and gas Cooperation Contract Contractor (KKKS), PetroChina International Jabung Ltd (PCJL) continues the stages of the Eastern Jabung 3 Dimension & 2D (2D) Seismic Survey in January 2024.
Previously, PCJL had carried out a series of parameter tests and socialization to the government and the public in five sub-districts in Tanjung Jabung Timur (TJT), Jambi.
The 3D & 2D Seismic Survey Series in Jabung is planned to last 10 months and cover 28,136 shooting points.
The 3D survey will be carried out in an area of 121 km2 in the Prospect of Meetings and an area of 71 km2 in the Prospect of Rukam, while a 2D survey will be conducted in a number of areas in the eastern part of the Jabung Working Area along 250 kilometers.
Parameter tests for 2D and 3D Seismic Surveys in Prospects of Meeting are carried out from December 21, 2023 to January 7, 2024, while parameter tests in the Prospect of Rukam are being prepared.
Parameter tests are aimed at knowing how deep a seismic firing hole is and how many explosives are needed.
