JAKARTA - The Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency (CoFTRA) ensures that it continues to optimize the development of the warehouse receivable system (SRG) in order to maintain price stabilization and availability of food commodities in 2024.

Acting Head of CoFTRA Kasan said SRG and strengthening the commodity auction market (PLK) were one of CoFTRA's priority programs this year.

"Commodity selection is very important for price stabilization and also supply availability rather than commodities entering the SRG warehouse. The interests are both domestic and export," said Kasan as quoted by Antara, Thursday, January 12.

Kasan said that the systems contained in SRG and PLK are interconnected with the Commodity Futures Market (PBK).

Thus, commodity prices that have been included in PBK are also formed in SRG and PLK.

Furthermore, Kasan assessed, the price will later function to stabilize inflation in each region.

"So if the pricing price is already in PBK, then the price of the commodity auction market is created, prices are also created in SRG, so the availability of food commodities managed by SRG will also help us, one of which is to stabilize inflation," said Kasan.

Therefore, CoFTRA asked for support from the Regional Government regarding policies that support the operation of business activities from SRG and PLK.

Apart from SRG, this year's CoFTRA will also focus on crypto exchanges. Kasan said that currently there are 32 crypto asset traders who have registered.

On the other hand, Bappiei is also preparing to shift the duties and supervision of crypto exchanges from CoFTRA to the Financial Services Authority (OJK), in accordance with the Financial Sector Development and Strengthening Law (P2SK).

"We are also preparing for the transition period from the crypto exchange to the OJK. In addition to crypto exchanges which are one type of technological innovation in the financial sector, there will also be derivatives of the financial sector which will also be part that will be transferred to the OJK," said Kasan.

Kasan also said that CoFTRA will focus on the follow-up of the palm oil exchange (crude palm oil) or the CPO Exchange, strengthening commodity trading such as tin, digital gold and multilateral transactions, as well as increasing supervision of prospective customers who will enter PBK.
