JAKARTA - The 14-kilometer (km) Pamulang-Cinere-Raya Bogor Toll Road has been inaugurated by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) today.

During the inauguration, President Jokowi was accompanied by Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi, Minister of Trade (Mendag) Zulkifli Hasan, Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Hadi Tjahjanto and Member of Commission V DPR RI Mulyadi.

PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said the newly inaugurated toll road is part of the 111 km JORR 2 toll road network which is circular from Cengkareng Soekarno Hatta Airport, Kunciran, Serpong, Cinere, Cimanggis, Cibitung, Cilincing to Tanjung Priok Port.

"It is targeted that all CORR 2 sections will be completed in the first quarter of 2024. Today the Cinere-Raya Bogor (11.2 km) and Serpong Cinere sections 2 Pamulang-Cinere (3.6 km)," Minister Basuki said in a written statement, Monday, January 8.

Basuki said, currently the JORR 2 segment which is still in the final stage is the Cimanggis-Cibitung Toll Road section 2B Cikeas-Cibitung (19.65 km). "This section will be completed around March 2024," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) of the Ministry of PUPR Miftachul Munir said, with the operation of Section 2, the Serpong-Cinere Toll Road with BUJT PT Cinere-Serpong Jaya will be fully operational, completing Section 1 Serpong-Pamulang which has been operational in 2021.

Munir said that this section will further accelerate people's journey to and from the Cinere, Pamulang, Serpong and surrounding areas to Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

"Especially, when Section 2 Pamulang-Cinere is connected to the Cinere-Jagorawi Toll Road Section 3B of the Krukut-Limo Section managed by PT Translingkar Kita Jaya (TLKJ) which is currently also completed," he said.

One Depok resident named Ismail Sofyan stated that the presence of this toll road could accelerate Depok residents and their surroundings to the airport and also Bogor. "Get to the airport faster and be more efficient," he added.
