ASDP Records Ferry Passengers Up 73 Percent On The End Of 2023 Holiday

JAKARTA - PT. River Lake and Crossing Transportation (ASDP) Batulicin Branch, South Kalimantan (Kalsel) recorded that the number of passengers on the ferry to Batulicin, Tanah Bumbu-Tanjung Serdang Regency, Kotabaru Regency, South Kalimantan Province increased by 73 percent during the year-end holidays.

"During the New Year's 2024 holiday, the route increased by 73.28 percent or 2,418 people to 4,190 people," said PT ASDP Business Manager Batulicin Zainal Branch quoted from ANTARA, Friday, January 5.

The number of passengers using two-wheeled vehicles increased by 43.49 percent from 2,366 units to 3,395 units.

Four-wheeled vehicles increased by around 67.15 percent from 481 units to 804 units.

"Passengers from Batulicin-Tanjung Serdang Port or vice versa on December 24 increased by 3.58 percent or 1,816 people to 1,881 people," he said.

The number of passengers of two-wheeled vehicles also increased by 4.39 percent or 1,206 units to 1,259 units.

Four-wheeled vehicles or more increased by 15.51 percent or 548 units to 633 units.

He said to accommodate all passengers, the management operated seven ships to serve passengers at the destination of Batulicin-Tanjung Serdang Port and vice versa.

Even to avoid long queues, his party also increased the number of shipping trips by two to ten trips per day.

The addition of the trip depends on the condition of the number of passengers, in the event of a surge in the number of passengers, PT ASDP continues to increase the number of shipping trips so that there are no queues for passengers.

"Alhamdulillah, until now all passengers can be accommodated properly by seven ships, including KMP Truno Joyo, KMP Gutila, KMP Teluk Cindrawasih, KMP Lemuru, KMP Kerapu III, KMP Musi II, KMP Mahakam Raya," he also said.
