Sri Mulyani Remembers Rizal Ramli's Words, Considered A Happy Figure

Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani visited the funeral home of former Maritime Affairs Minister Rizal Ramli in South Jakarta at 16.35 WIB, on Wednesday, January 3.

In addition, he remembered the words of the deceased about himself as a brave woman.

Sri Mulyani conveyed that this was conveyed by Rizal Ramli directly while attending a financial ministry event in 2019.

"Usually we invite the former Minister of Finance. Mr. Rizal Ramli was present at the event, and I remember very much Mr. Rizal Ramli's comment, he said this: I am a brave person, but I am not as brave as Mrs. Sri Mulyani to wear stable green sneakers," he said at the funeral home, Wednesday, January 3.

In addition, Sri Mulyani remembers the figure of Rizal Ramli as a national figure and an economist who often gives views related to various aspects of government policy.

"As an economist, Mr. Rizal Ramli has given us a lot of views, sometimes that opinion is also for us. If I fit it again at the Ministry of Finance, it becomes input to of course look at various aspects of policy," he said.

According to Sri Mulyani, the view given by the figure of Rizal Ramli is a form of support for the various things the government has done for Indonesia's progress.

"This is a form of support for various things. Although there are those who oppose this, it must be for the good. So surely on behalf of us, the Ministry of Finance expresses our condolences to the whole family," he explained.

Sri Mulyani also said goodbye to rest on the best side of Allah to the former finance minister of the era of President Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur).

"Hopefully his spirit will be accepted by Allah SWT, on the best side and of course all of his services in managing and participating in maintaining the Indonesian economy and the services provided by Allah wt. Thank you to Mr. Rizal Ramli for his contribution," he said.

Sri Mulyani admitted that she had known Rizal Ramli from being still in ITB.

"Actually, Mr. Rizal Ramli has been in a very long relationship because he and his late wife, Mrs. Hera, were close friends with my brothers when I was in ITB, so I know her name at least," he explained.
