Sri Mulyani Calls The 2023 State Budget Closed With Husnul Khotimah

Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati said that the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) posted a positive performance until the end of 2023, even though it was faced with very high global and domestic economic conditions.

Sri Mulyani conveyed that the 2023 State Budget shows solid and credible performance and can still support the development agenda, as well as become a shock absorber by protecting people's purchasing power and maintaining economic stability.

In addition, the performance of the APBN is closed with the realization of revenues that exceed the target, expenditures that are maintained according to momentum and absorbed according to the target, lower deficit, positive balance, and debt financing whose realization is below the target.

"The 2023 State Budget Story that we mentioned the end of the journey since the pandemic, the end of the journey since the shock of the pandemic occurred, closed with husnul khotimah, if people say, it's quite good," said Sri Mulyani at the State Budget press conference, Tuesday, January 2.

Sri Mulyani also said that in achieving various global uncertainties, the 2023 State Budget can still support national development, as well as become a shock absorber to protect people's purchasing power and maintain economic stability.

He noted that the realization of state revenue until the end of 2023 was recorded at IDR 2,774.3 trillion or reached 105.2 percent of the target of Presidential Regulation 75/2023 of IDR 2,637.2 trillion.

This realization figure grew 5.3 percent from state revenue in 2022 of IDR 2,635.8 trillion.

Meanwhile, the realization of state spending reached IDR 3,121.9 trillion. This realization increased from the Presidential Regulation target of 75/2023 which amounted to IDR 3,117.2 trillion or 100.2 percent. This expenditure also increased by 0.8 percent when compared to the realization in 2022 which amounted to IDR 3,096.3 trillion.

With the development of state spending and revenues, the State Budget in 2023 recorded a deficit of IDR 347.6 trillion or 1.65 percent of Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

Meanwhile, this deficit is lower when compared to the Presidential Decree target Number 75/2023 which is Rp479.9 trillion, and still lower than the target in the 2023 State Budget which amounted to Rp598.2 trillion.

"High income, spending can still support many national priority programs and protect the community, but the deficit has fallen lower," said Sri mulyani.
