The Ministry Of PUPR Completes These Various Infrastructure Projects In Indonesia Until The End Of 2023

The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) revealed a number of infrastructure projects that have been completed by PUPR until the end of 2023.

Quoting from his official Instagram account @kemenpupr, Tuesday, January 2, the Ministry of PUPR has built a number of infrastructures throughout Indonesia.

The following is a list of Indonesia's infrastructure development completed by PUPR in 2023, Tuesday, January 2, 2024.

1. Development of Water Resources

- Dam: 7 units

- Embung: 10 units

- Irrigation: Construction: 3,455 hectares (ha)

- Rehabilitation: 74,560 ha

- Flood and Coastal Security Control: +- 85 kilometers (km)

2. Construction of Roads and Bridges

- Toll Road: +- 220 km

- New Road: +- 380 km

- Bridge: +- 6,000 meters (m)

- Flyover/Underpass: +- 2,000 m

3. Construction of the Settlement Sector

- Drinking Water Supply System: +- 2,000 liters per second

- Handling Kumuh Area: 140 Ha

- Wastewater Management: +- 13,000 Families

- Waste Management: +- 2,000 KK

4. Housing Sector Development

- Flats: 13,000 families

- Special House: More than 1,000 units

- Self-help homes: More than 140 units

- Housing PSU: More than 27,000 units

Based on VOI records, related to infrastructure development, Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said that Indonesia's infrastructure rating had increased from its original position in 54 in 2014 to 51 in 2023.

This means that during the 9 years of massive infrastructure development, Indonesia's infrastructure development index rose 3 places to 51.

Jokowi said this meant that Indonesia had worked hard even though it had not jumped further.

"This means that it has increased even though it has not jumped. We are working hard in the infrastructure sector, really working hard. The changes are visible, but once again, our increase in the Global Competitiveness Index is still at 51, yes, up from 54 to 51," said President Jokowi at the Gathering with Infrastructure Activists in Jakarta, December 4, 2023.
