A Total Of 55 Thousand Vehicles Pass The Functional Path Of The Jogja-Solo Toll Road During The 2023 Christmas Holiday

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk through its subsidiary PT Jasamarga Jogja Solo (JMJ) noted that 55,466 vehicles passed the functional lane of the Solo-Yogyakarta-YIA Kulonprogo (Jogja-Solo) Segmen Kartasura to Karanganom along 13 kilometers (km).

President Director of PT JMJ Sukandra Hutabarat said this figure is the number of vehicles passing through the functional route for five days, namely on D-3 to D+1 (22-26 December 2023) Christmas 2023 which operates in one direction from GT Colomadu (Trans Java Toll Road) to Boyolali and/or Kartasura and to Klaten and/or Yogyakarta.

"Just for five days of opening, we recorded 55,466 vehicles passing through the functional route of the Jogja-Solo Toll Road. Until now, the highest traffic volume was recorded on Sunday, December 24, 2023, with the highest traffic of 12,142 vehicles with the highest increase in towards Jogja of 862 vehicles per hour which occurred at 08.00-09.00 WIB," said Sukandra in a written statement, quoted Thursday, December 28.

PT JMJ is optimistic that vehicles passing through the functional route of the Jogja-Solo Toll Road, the Kartasura Segment to Karanganom will continue to increase.

Not only operated in the period of homecoming flow from December 22 to December 31, 2023 in one direction from Solo to Jogja, at 06.00-17.00 WIB this toll road will also support backflow which is scheduled for January 1 to January 3, 2024, in one direction from Jogja to Solo at the same time.

"In the period 1-3 January 2024 at 06.00-17.00 WIB, this functional route will operate in one direction from GT Karanganom to GT Banyudono (for Boyolali and/or Kartasura destinations) and GT Karanganom to GT Colomadu (for the purpose of the Trans Java Toll Road). Similar to the homecoming period, users from Jalan Raya Solo-Semarang who headed for the Trans Java Toll Road were also diverted through GT Banyudono to continue their journey through the Colomadu GT," he said.

Beyond the specified date and time of implementation of the functional path, the flow of traffic to and from GT Colomadu returns to normal using existing access.

In this regard, PT JMJ has alerted infrastructure and supporting facilities to support the operational operation of the Jogja-Solo Toll Road, including providing Alert Information Service Posts at STA 13+ 00 and officer posts on standby at several points prone to congestion.

Sukandra said, if road users experience a state of emergency, his party has provided Mobile Customer Service (MCS) ambulances, mobile fuel, portable toilets and free crane services to the nearest toll exit.

In addition, PT JMJ has also prepared signs and warnings, such as speed limits, directional pointing signs, and traffic lights or Traffic Signing Equipment (APPIL) located on the national road in front of Banyudono access and in front of Karanganom's access.

"It is hoped that the functional route for the Jogja-Solo Toll Road can overcome the congestion that often occurs in the Kartasura Monument, Delanggu Market, and pass 10 traffic lights from the Kartasura Monument to Karanganom which often occurs, especially during the long holiday period," he added.
