Cak Imin Says 100 Indonesians Have Income Above 100 Million Indonesians

JAKARTA - Vice Presidential Candidate Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin revealed that there is economic inequality in Indonesia that must be'selepet' or resolved. He said that 100 Indonesians have a wealth of more than 100 million Indonesians.

"This means that we have to hurry this unfair," he said in a vice presidential debate quoted from the Indonesian KPU YouTube, Friday, December 22.

If elected later, Cak Imin admitted that he wanted to apply taxes to these rich people and lower taxes for the middle class.

"We must also have confidence that we tax 100 rich people along with our lower middle class tax in Indonesia," he explained.

On this occasion, Imin also admitted that he would extend social assistance (bansos) if he and Anies Baswedan were elected in the 2024 election contestation.

"Amin wants Bansos, which is indeed the obligation of this country, to be continued and even improved. So we want Bansos plus which is increasingly bringing our people to have purchasing power that boosts the community's economy," he said.
