Erick Thohir Cancels Report Two Troubled Dapens To The AGO This Month

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir admitted that he had not been able to report two problematic pension funds (dappen) to the Attorney General's Office (AGO) this month.

The reason, continued Erick, was because his party was still waiting to report the audits of the two dapens from the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).

"There are two (dappen), only the audit has not been completed, it's a pity for BPKP, asking for help from the BPKP palm oil task force. So we are still waiting," Erick said at a press conference at the Ministry of SOEs, Jakarta, Tuesday, December 19.

Erick said he would report as many problems as possible to the AGO. However, the number of dapen reporting will depend on the results of the BPKP audit.

"As much as possible. (The target) all depends on the audit. Yesterday I just said I wanted 7, it turned out to be 2, but 2 it's not finished yet," he said.

"I thank BPKP for its extraordinary help and provide solutions," he continued.

As previously reported, SOE Minister Erick Thohir plans to report two problematic pension funds (dappen) at the BUMN to the Attorney General's Office (AGO) this month.

Previously, it was also reported that four of them got together.

"The plan is that in December (2023) there will be two more (dappen) to be reported to the Attorney General's Office," Erick said in a working meeting with Commission VI of the DPR, at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, December 4.

But unfortunately, Erick Thohir was reluctant to mention which state-owned company was going to be reported to the Attorney General's Office.

Even so, he hopes that the steps to improve the management of BUMN will be healthy in the future.

"So that later the pension funds will really be in transition for the next 3 years, they will be healthy," he said.
