Ahead Of The Christmas And New Year Holidays, Sandiaga Uno Inaugurates The KDTN-Owned Hotel On The Cipali Toll Road

JAKARTA Based on PUPR Ministerial Regulation No. 28 of 2021 concerning rest areas and services on toll roads, PT Puri Sentul Permai Tbk (KDTN) continues to develop its business by building the first hotel in the rest area, which is located in Rest Area KM 19 of the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road.

At the same time, KDTN is the pioneer of hotels in toll road rest areas in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, KDTN has further strengthened its position as a leader in the hotel rest area industry by implementing the Grand Opening Swiss-Belexpress Rest Area KM 166 and KM 164 Cipali toll roads.

This hotel is the second and third hotel owned by the Company which is located in Rest Area KM 164 and KM 166 of the Cipali-Majalengka Toll Road, which is managed by Swiss-Belhotel International.

The Grand Opening event was also attended by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Industry, Mr. Sandiaga Uno and the Deputy Regent as well as the ranks of the Majalengka Regency Muspida, where the inauguration of this Hotel is an important step in the development of the tourism and infrastructure sector in Indonesia as well as a tangible form of KDTN in a mission to help reduce the number of accidents on toll roads.

The Minister of Tourism and Creative Industry, Sandiaga Uno said, this business is part of the Public Private Partnership ecosystem, this will be able to encourage superior village tourism in the Majalengka area with the composition of the fields that will become the best tourist village in 2023.

The presence of this hotel is to support economic interests, open up wide business opportunities and employment opportunities for the economic revival of the community and as supporters of destinations in Majalengka.

In addition, the hotel in the middle of the rest area does its function to ensure that the safety aspect becomes more important so that drivers do not get tired of driving their vehicles so that they can reduce the potential for accidents.

"Even in the ministerial meeting which has been followed by the Plenary Cabinet meeting this week, one of the main concerns in the smooth running of the Nataru holiday is in Cipali and what is properly guarded is the safety aspect of security so that the movement of tourers and the movement of Nataru holiday travelers is comfortable and fun," said Sandiaga.

Sandiaga encouraged the construction of hotels in the rest area to fully support it because this has become a trend and necessity.

"If there is a need, there will be supplies, stay at the level of entrepreneurs, here are friends from PHRI, there are rest area managers so that all can collaborate as well as KDTN who are present with several hotels that have been built and operate at several points in the rest area," he said.

Licensing, according to Sandiaga, is very easy and integrated in OSS at the Ministry of Investment.

"Therefore, all parties must be able to synergize, be adaptive, tough and superior to face developments and challenges that continue to grow," he explained.

Aan conveyed according to his promise to the public at the last Go Public that all the funds collected would be dedicated to the development of the hotel business in the Rest area according to the Minister of PUPR Regulation no. 28 of 2021.

In addition, the presence of the Swiss-Belexpress Hotel in this rest area is expected to be able to complete rest facilities in rest areas for toll road users so that it is easier to get a representative and quality rest area so that motorists can be fresher to continue their journey.

Aan explained that the level of awareness of motorists about the importance of rest while driving is still lacking at this time and hopes that the presence of Swiss-Belexpress in the Rest Area will play a role in the government's program on driving safety and participating in reducing the number of accidents.

Aan added that in this case, his party needed support from all parties to make it happen.

"On the other hand, the existence of the Swiss-Belexpress Rest Area is expected to be able to participate in advancing the development of the Regency area. Majalengka through local revenue and also the absorption of the workforce of local residents," concluded Aan.
