Sucofindo Says There Needs To Be Topolang Port Development Connectivity

JAKARTA - Commercial Director of PT Sucofindo (Persero) Darwin Abas said there was a need for guidance and assessment at ports to support connectivity and increase the competitiveness of the Indonesian economy.

"It is important for ports in Indonesia to implement a sustainable port concept because it is able to overcome environmental, energy, socio-economic problems and climate change," Darwin said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, December 14.

The guidance and assessment aim to increase port capacity and adaptation. According to Darwin, this can be done, one of which is through the implementation of a green and smart port.

In that context, Sucofindo together with PT Bureau of Classification (Persero) or IDSurvey, conducted an assessment of the green and smart port criteria for ports.

The Green Port assessment criteria are also compiled to refer to the Green Port Award System (GPAS) compiled by the Asia-Pacific Port System Network (APSN), The World Association for Waterborne Transport Infrastructure (PIANC), the International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH), and are adjusted to the relevant laws and regulations in Indonesia and International.

In addition, Sucofindo also provides validation and verification services that have been accredited by KAN for the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) scheme and Carbon Economic Value (NEK).

It aims to support and strengthen competitiveness in overcoming environmental issues.

The company also has services to support green industries or other green industries, such as the ESG Consultation service which helps business actors prepare roadmaps or ESG roadmaps and the ESG implementation and reporting process.

Then, the company also serves energy audits, sustainable mining consulting, green office certification, green building certification, consulting in the fields of New and Renewable Energy (EBT), Green Project Management, Green Industry Certification, Environmental Laboratory, environmental monitoring and consulting and GGL Certification (Green Gold Label).
