EGMS, Mitratel Appoints Two New Commissioners

JAKARTA - PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi Tbk or Mitratel (MTEL) appointed two new commissioners at the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) on Friday, December 2.

The company approved the appointment of Gunawan Susanto as Independent Commissioner and Mira Tayyiba as Commissioner, and approved the resignation of Rico Usthavia Frans as President Commissioner and Henry Yosodiningrat as Commissioner.

Mitratel Investment Director Hendra Purnama said the company was still targeting double-digit growth until 2025 amid the change in the composition of commissioners.

"With the new composition of commissioners, we can extend more than the current one, and the BOD (Board Of Director) and BOC (Board Of Commissioners) cooperation will be much smoother," said Hendra quoting Antara.

The company's current revenue and EBITDA growth has touched 12 percent year on year (yoy) and 15 percent (yoy), according to Hendra, is one of the best growth tower sector companies in Indonesia.

"With a new composition, we hope that in the future it will continue like that," said Hendra

Currently, the composition of the company's board of commissioners, namely Yusuf Wibisono as President Commissioner, Herlan Wijanarko as Commissioner, Mira Tayyiba as Commissioner, Gunawan Susanto as Independent Commissioner, and M Ridwan Rizqi Ramadhani Nasution as Independent Commissioner.

Until the third quarter of 2023, this subsidiary of PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) posted revenue which increased 11.9 percent year on year (yoy) to IDR 6.3 trillion, compared to IDR 5.6 trillion in the third quarter of 2022.

During this period, the company has built 481 new towers and added 1,192 towers through acquisition, bringing the number of Mitratel's towers by the end of September 2023 to 37,091 towers.

The distribution of Mitratel towers includes 15,505 towers on the island of Java and 21,586 towers outside Java or about 58 percent of the total towers, which encourage the growth of additional tenants outside Java by 11 percent, or higher than in Java which amounted to 10 percent.
