JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) reported the realization of the 2023 State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) program.

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif explained that the absorption of the budget of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources until November 18, 2023 reached 59.03 percent. This number still has a deviation of minus 5.68 percent.

He reported that this realization was still low, mainly due to incentive activities for converting fuel motors to electric motors where public interest was still low and the provision of new electrical-based cooking utensils in the open preparation stage for prospective recipient data and preparation of their procurement through e-catalog because the DIPA allocation had just been determined.

"However, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources seeks to realize strategic activities, provide direct benefits to the community so that it is hoped that the realization of the budget until December 2023 can reach 98.53 percent," said Arifin in a Working Meeting with Commission VII DPR RI, Tuesday, November 21.

He also detailed that of the 531 packages of strategic activities of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, 126 packages were carried out using a tender or selection mechanism and 405 non-tender packages. A total of 513 packages have contracted, namely 125 tender packages and 388 non-tender packages.

"We remain committed to immediately completing all activities that have not been tendered and have not yet contracted," added Arifin.

Arifin detailed that the realization of the highest budget implementation was held by the Inspectorate General at 85.77 percent or Rp. 91.70 billion from the budgeted funds of Rp. 106.91 billion. Then the smallest absorption was held by the Directorate General of Electricity (Gatrix) which only reached 42.59 percent or absorbed Rp. 347.60 billion from the budgeted Rp. 816.13 billion.

"Some of the budgets of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources are allocated for infrastructure budgets, natural resource survey management and geological disaster mitigation," concluded Arifin.
