JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has completed the construction of 3 sections of the South Coast Road (Pansela) in East Java along 90.22 km.
PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said his party had completed the construction of three new roads in East Java Province along 90,227 km, bringing the total Pansela Jatim road to 372.82 km from a total length of 628.39 km.
"We continue to promote the Pansela Java route so that people are interested in going south, because not only the road is good but also has beautiful views (panoramic roads) and there are many tourist attractions," Minister Basuki said in a written statement received by VOI, Friday, November 10.
The construction of Jalan Pansela, East Java, is expected to become a tourist route for the southern coastal area and facilitate connectivity on the southern part of Java Island as well as reduce the traffic burden of the Jalan Pantai Utara (Pantura) Java.
The three Pansela lanes in East Java that have been completed and ready to be inaugurated are the Jarit-Puger section in Lumajang Regency along 54,135 km.
The construction of this road was carried out in 2019-2022 at a cost of IDR 257 billion, including the construction of the Paseban I and II Bridges along 82.80 m.
Then, the Balekambang-Kedungsalam intersection section in Malang Regency is 18.062 km long. The construction cost is IDR 227.73 billion with the implementation period 2019-2022.
