Distribution Of Village Funds To 841 Regions In East Kalimantan Reaches IDR 595.58 Billion

The distribution of Village Funds to 841 villages in East Kalimantan (Kaltim) from January to November 3, 2023 reached IDR 595.58 billion.

Where, the distribution of these funds from the Ministry of Finance through the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury of East Kalimantan Province (DJPb Kaltim).

"The distribution of Rp595.58 billion is with an achievement of 74.32 percent of the total Village Funds for East Kalimantan which amounted to Rp777.27 billion," said Head of Village Development and Rural Areas at the East Kalimantan Village Community and Government Empowerment Service (DPMPD), Aswanda quoting Antara.

According to him, the use of the 2023 Village Fund refers to regulations from the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration (Kemendes PDTT) which have issued the General Guidelines for the Implementation of the Use of Village Funds 2023.

This guideline is listed in the attachment to the Permendes PDTT Number 8 of 2022 concerning Priority for the Use of Village Funds in 2023, namely for national economic recovery, national priority programs, mitigation and disaster management to support the achievement of Village SDGs aka sustainable development.

Priority for the use of the 2023 Village Fund, which prioritizes economic recovery, is because throughout 2020 to 2022 it is used more to tackle the COVID-19 outbreak which has an impact on the joints of people's lives, both in terms of social, economic, community welfare and others.

The details of the Village Funds that have been disbursed by Rp596.58 billion are divided into seven regencies, namely in Paser Regency Rp85.82 billion or 70.17 percent, for Kutai Kartanegara Regency Rp153.6 billion or 79.83 percent.

In Berau Regency, all village accounts worth Rp70.19 billion or 74.93 percent have been distributed to all village accounts, in West Kutai Regency Rp190.91 billion or 74.55 percent, East Kutai Regency worth Rp207.38 billion or 72.2 percent.

"Furthermore, the Village Funds distributed to 30 villages in North Penajam Paser Regency amounted to Rp22.36 billion or 75.92 percent, and 50 villages in Mahakam Ulu Regency worth Rp35.31 billion or 67.1 percent," said Aswanda.
