Equipped With Flyovers On Train Tracks, Padang-Sicincin Toll Road Completed For Eid 2024

JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) continues to accelerate the completion of a number of sections of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS). One of them is the construction of the Padang-Sicincin section which is part of the Pekanbaru-Padang Silip Toll Road.

As of October 12, 2023, the construction of this project reached 39.24 percent or faster than the initial plan, which was 37.73 percent. Meanwhile, the continued land acquisition process has now reached 91.62 percent (of the field).

It is known that the structural work that has been completed includes 5 under bridge bridges, 2 river/irrigation bridges, 12 box traffic crossings, and 2 pedestrian box crossings.

The total length of the road road road is 36.6 kilometers (km). Toll road construction work continues with various strategies, such as seeking effective and efficient work methods, as well as the use of construction digitization.

The digitization of construction used in this project work is also diverse, ranging from designs that use Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR), to land construction using one of the most up-to-date technologies, namely the Modular Wholesale Colomb (KGM) or soil repairs including ground-layer drilling and injecting concrete paste as a channeler to the hard soil layer below.

The construction of toll roads that pass through various types of lanes, such as inter-city roads, village roads, and railroad crossings will be equipped with a number of structural facilities, including an under bridge or underpass bridge.

This toll road will be equipped with a refinery building, such as 14 underpasses. As for the section that passed the Minangkabau-Kayu Tanami International Airport railway crossing, 4 underpasses were built.

Executive Vice President (EVP) Corporate Secretary Hutama Karya Tjahjo Purnomo said, the average ground condition around the crossing is soft soil, so it requires a special construction, namely the thousand-foot structure method or pile slab on the road section of the bridge approach.

"Toll roads that intersect with railroad tracks, we made an underpass at STA 6+200, STA 12+286, STA 30+450 and STA 0+213 (Tarok City Access) with an average length of 96.3 m, height reaching 6.8 m, and a maximum load of 1 vehicle is 50 tons. Especially for underpasses at STA 6+200 the work has been completed, so toll road users will be spoiled with a view of cool and shady rice fields," said Tjahjo in his written statement, Tuesday, October 17.

Tjahjo said, in order not to interfere with public activities, a number of methods were used in the construction of this underpass, including the use of the HSPD (Hydraulic Static Pile Driver) tool to design the foundation of the pole and use the launcher to install the girder gelagar.
