Prices Are Not Suitable, ID FOOD Delays Release Of Condom Production Subsidiaries

JAKARTA - The Food SOE Holding of PT RNI (Persero) or ID FOOD plans to release its subsidiary which is not related to the food business, namely PT Mitra Rajawali Banjaran.

However, the process of releasing a subsidiary who is the producer of this condom was delayed.

ID FOOD President Director Frans Marganda Tambunan revealed that the release of subsidiaries that are not related to the food business is carried out so that food holdings can really focus on food.

Frans said previously PT Mitra Rajawali Banjaran had been offered to PT Bio Farma (Persero), but the price did not match.

Therefore, continued Frans, the release of the condom business was postponed while being subjected to restructuring.

"Terakit pabrik Mitra Banjaran di Bandung tahun lalu kita sudah berusaha divestasi ke teman kita Bio Farma, cuma memang ada kepacokan harga dan sebagainya, kita tuntah," katanya di Kementerian BUMN Jakarta, Selasa, 10 Oktober.

Frans said the restructuring of the Rajawali Banjaran Partner was carried out through PT Rajawali Nusindo which also distributed quite a lot of medical devices (alkes).

Furthermore, Frans continued, Mitra Rajawali Banjaran will also be used to replace Rajawali Nusindo's production while waiting for the process of releasing the company further.

"So we will use Mitra Banjaraan to temporarily back up the production of pharmaceutical medical devices for Rajawali Nusindo until later we offer the second phase of the divestment," he explained.

Previously, Frans revealed that he would release his subsidiary in order to reorganize business or refocusing business.

The three subsidiaries that will be released to fellow SOEs are Mitra Rajawali Banjaran, PT Perkebunan Mitra Ogan, and PT Mitra Kerinci.
