JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) began working on the Semarang-Demak toll road project section 1A on January 16, 2023, along 4 km. The toll road project is targeted for completion in April 2025.

Tjahjo said this project was carried out together with the Beijing Urban Construction Group.co.Ltd (BUCG) through Operational Cooperation (KSO) with each portion of work in this project Hutama Karya at 40.44 percent and BUCG 59.56 percent.
"Hutama Karya is committed to completing this project on time so that the benefits can be felt immediately by the surrounding community, especially in Semarang and Demak," he added.
He added that the scope of Hutama Karya's work on this project includes the work of the elevated area, the preparation of the Concrete Spun Pile (CSP), asphalt work, structural excavation, existing lifting girder, and the demolition of the Kaligawe Bridge by increasing the elevation by approximately 1 meter (m) using the Fast Track Concrete Parliament technology.
"The project progress until the third week of August 2023 has reached 12.9 percent," said Tjahjo.
