JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) through the Center for Electricity Survey and Testing, New, Renewable Energy, and Energy Conservation (BBSP KEBTKE) signed a number of cooperation agreements for the development of the electric vehicle ecosystem.

The cooperation includes the construction agreement for the Public Electric Vehicle Battery Exchange Station (SPBKLU) between PT PLN (Persero) and the Micro-Grid Development Cooperation Agreement and the KEBTKE BBSP Factory as well as PT PLN (Persero).

Deputy for Infrastructure and Transportation Coordination of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment Rachmat Kaimuddin stated that the cooperation initiated with this signing could bring important changes to synergize in the success of the KBLBB program, especially in developing the KBLBB industrial ecosystem.

"To realize the goals of the KBLBB program, of course, requires support from various parties and of course solid support will be able to realize the KBLBB ecosystem," said Rachmat in his remarks quoted on Friday, September 15.

He hopes that this collaboration can run well and can accelerate the formation of the KBLBB ecosystem.

There are at least 5 cooperation agreements established, namely, first, the SPBKLU Development Cooperation Agreement between BBSP KEBTKE and PT PLN (Persero), the second Micro-Grid Development and Factory between BBSP KEBTKE- PLN Project Management & EBT- TDL Global.

Furthermore, Battery Development for electric boats between BBSP KEBTKE and TDL Global-Empacts, Ltd, the fourth production of Conversion-Kits for electric motors between BBSP KEBTKE and Inventus Power- PT INTI and finally, is a Conversion Motor Mass Production Agreement between BBSP KEBTKE and PT Yifang Cargo Mutiara Elektronik.

Regarding the cooperation agreement between BBSP KEBTKE and TDL Global, Head of BBSP KEBTKE Senda Hurmuzan Kanam explained, cooperation with Global True Digital Leader (TDL Global) related to the supply availability of 20,000 battery units in 2023 and 100,000 in 2024 from the Chinese Technology With Spirit (TWS) factory to support KBLBB.

"For the supply of 100,000 units in 2024, TDL will relocate its production plant from China to Indonesia," concluded Senda.
