Suharso: ASN Salary Reform Becomes A Priority Agenda In 2024

JAKARTA - The government said that the discussion on the reform of the salaries of state civil servants (ASN) was one of the priority agendas in 2024.

"In 2024, priority activities based on function are the concept of pension system reform policies and single salaries for ASN," said Minister of National Development Planning (PPN)/Head of Bappenas Suharso Monoarfa quoting Antara.

Launching the website of the State Civil Service Agency (BKN), the single sale design refers to the salary system where civil servants will only receive one type of income which is a combination of various income components.

The single salt system applied consists of elements of position (paid) and allowances (performance and expensiveness). The grading system will be determined in determining the amount of salary in several types of civil servants.

Salaries are a reward given to civil servants as a form of reward for their workers. Meanwhile, the grading is a level or rating of the value / value of the position that shows a position, workload, responsibility and job risk. Each grading will be divided into several steps with a different rupiah value.

Therefore, he said there is a possibility that civil servants who have the same position can get different salaries depending on the assessment of the price of office as seen from the workload, responsibility, and job risk.

"In addition to discussing ASN salaries, the priority agenda of the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas also includes determining the target numbers for extreme poverty and poverty, open unemployment rates, and Gini ratios," he said.

Then, strengthening planning governance and the role of clearing houses to sharpen major project planning, organizing the National Development Planning Conference (Musrenbangnas) in the context of drafting the Government Work Plan (RKP) in 2025, as well as preparing policies for Indonesia's economic transformation.

Another national annual development priority agenda is coordination of planning and preparation of activities financed from various financing instruments and strategic coordination of the revision of the National Development Planning System Law (UU SPPN).
