Minister Of Transportation Budi: Flights At Husein Sastranegara Airport Will Move To Kertajati In October 2023

Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi said Kertajati Airport would replace Bandung's Husein Sastranegara Airport in serving commercial flights.

Budi said Kertajati Airport would start operating fully to serve commercial flights on October 28, 2023.

Kertajati Airport on October 28 is fully functioning. So all the planes in Bandung will move to Kertajati, "he said they were met at the DPR Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 30.

Budi said, Husein Sastagera Airport will only operate to serve flights by propeller or propeller aircraft for one year.

"And in Bandung there is still a propeller plane, we will give it one year. Later everyone will move to Kertajati," he said.

Budi added that the travel time from Bandung to Kertajati Airport located in Majalengka, West Java, was about 50 minutes.

One of the access that can be used to get to Kertajati Airport is with the Damri Bus.

He hopes that the presence of this transportation can meet the mobility needs of the people around Bandung and Cirebon.

"Kertajati's achievement is about 50 minutes, apart from being achieved by public transportation, Damri will also provide subsidies. So at least two cities will be fulfilled, namely Cirebo and Bandung," he said.

Budi said Kertajati Airport has also been operated to serve Umrah and Hajj flights this year. He said this was also supported by the existence of hajj dormitories.

"Now there is a hajj dormitory, it has been decided and Hajj has been carried out per year yesterday 68,000 and God willing, it will increase next year," he said.
