Garuda Passengers Can Ride BMW IX Cars From And To Bali's Ngurah Rai Airport

JAKARTA - Garuda Indonesia and BMW Indonesia launched The Prestige Service services.

This premium transportation service will deliver passengers from and to Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali.

Previously, this service was introduced at Soekarno Hatta International Airport in 2021.

Through this service expansion, selected passengers will get transportation services to and from I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali or to continue their journey to their destination using BMW iX.

The expansion of The Prestige Service services not only includes the development of service coverage, but also places the environmental sustainability as one of the concerns in realizing the company's business sustainability with the operation of BMW iX, which is an electric-based premium vehicle on the service.

President Director of Garuda Indonesia, Irfan Setiaputra said, the expansion of The Prestige Service services is a form of Garuda Indonesia's commitment together with BMW Indonesia to provide seamless and exclusive pre- and post-journey services for selected customers.

"Departing from the same vision as our partners, we hope that the development of this service can not only reach more broadly our service users but can also strengthen our efforts to contribute to environmental sustainability," said Irfan in Jakarta, Friday, August 25.

Irfan said that a joint synergy is needed to optimize various steps to contribute to environmental sustainability.

"Therefore, we hope that this collaboration can not only provide added value for Garuda service users but can also provide value to joint efforts and roles in realizing sustainability for the earth and the lives of our children and grandchildren later," said Irfan.

Meanwhile, BMW Group Indonesia President Director Ramesh Divyanathan said BMW Indonesia is proud to announce a sustainable collaboration with Garuda as a strategic partner to continue to present innovations for a sustainable future and provide an unmatched premium experience for Prestige Service users.

"Since the Prestige Service was launched, this exclusive service has received a positive response with the presence of the BMW Series 7 luxury sedan. Currently, the Prestige Service is ready to provide a more special driving experience with the BMW iX premium electric vehicle, specifically at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport Bali," he said.

BMW iX is a fully electric Sport Activity Vehicle (SAV) that is designed intelligently, futuristic and presents a luxurious, spacious, and modern interior.

BMW iX is the best-selling full electric premium vehicle in Indonesia based on Gaikindo July 2023 data.

Ramesh said this achievement was very important considering BMW Indonesia only launched BMW iX in August last year, with customer shipments starting in March 2023.

BMW iX has also become the preferred vehicle used by country leaders at the ASEAN 42nd Summit in Labuan Bajo.
