SKK Migas Encourages Pertamina, Inpex-Petronas To Complete Plans For The Development Of The Masela Block

JAKARTA - The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) encourages Inpex, Pertamina and Petronas to immediately submit plans for the development of the Masela Block so that the development of this eternal field will be carried out immediately.

Head of the SKK Migas Program and Communication Division, Hudi D Suryodipuro, hopes that this month the revision of the development plan or plan of development (PoD) can be submitted to the government so that the on stream implementation can be carried out immediately.

"Hopefully this August will come in. Because we want to pursue on stream so that it is not delayed. The point is there," said Hudi, quoted on Thursday, August 24.

Hudi added that currently Shell, Inpex, Pertamina and Petronas are completing the transfer process.

For now, related companies are also actively carrying out the revised process of PoD after the transfer of management.

"The things that still have to be processed to inaugurate the PI must really be in the names of the three companies, right. Previously on behalf of Shell and Inpex, now it is Inpex, Pertamina and Petronas," explained Hudi.

For your information, PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) previously signed a sale and purchase agreement for the acquisition of Shell ownership in the Masela Block, where PHE in collaboration with Petronas took over 35 percent of Shell's ownership in the block.

PHE will later manage 20 percent of the holdings and 15 percent will be managed by Petronas Masela.
