JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura II implements the concept of smart airports at airports managed by the company. This concept is applied prioritizing the use of technology and automation to support operational efficiency and improve service standards.

AP II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said smart airports must also have facilities to support the collaboration of all airport stakeholders, by prioritizing information as the main key.

As is known, stakeholders at the airport consist of various agencies with their respective duties.

In line with this, said Awaluddin, AP II has built an integrated operational control center called the Airport Operation Control Center (AOCC) which is equipped with various current technology facilities at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, as a platform for collaboration of all stakeholders.

Awaluddin said the company would also ensure the readiness and competence of personnel on duty at the AOCC.

"Physically, AP II has built an AOCC as a facility equipped with the latest technology to maintain the operation of Soekarno-Hatta Airport, which is the largest and busiest airport in Indonesia," he said in an official statement, Tuesday, August 15.

AP II then also wants to ensure that the personnel on duty at the AOCC can always meet competence. Therefore, his party has set competency standards that must be met by personnel.

"And then register the competency standard with the Ministry of Manpower," he said.

Awaluddin announced that on August 11, 2023, the Ministry of Manpower symbolically conveyed the Decree of the Director General of Vocational Training and Productivity concerning the Standards for Special Work Competency (SKK) for Smart Airport Sub for Airport Control Center for Airport Operations in PT Angkasa Pura II.

In the SKKK, 10 competency units are determined, including Managing Airport Facility Information Data, Distributing Information Data Processing of Airport Facilities, Analyzing Airport Flight Information Data, and so on.

Awaluddin said the standard work competence for smart airports indicates AP II's commitment to implementing the smart airport concept in a sustainable manner.

The issuance of the decree is a commitment to support and implement the concept of smart airports. In the future, hopefully, the SKKK of the Airport Operations Control Center owned by AP II can become the Indonesian National Work Competency Standard (SKKNI)," he said.

Meanwhile, AP II Director of Human Capital Teaching Setiadi said that the SKKK achieved by AP II was the first time in Indonesia.

The job competency standard is for the first time registered in Indonesia by AP II, as AP II's commitment to fully support the implementation of smart airports," explained Setiadi.

Teaching also said that in line with the work competency standards recognized by the Ministry of Manpower, AP II can always ensure the adequacy and skills of human resources in guarding the implementation of smart airports.
