BUMN Dominates The Top 5 100 Of Indonesia's Largest Companies, Erick Thohir: This Is An Extraordinary Thing

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir appreciated the achievements of BUMN which managed to rank in the top five in the latest list report of 100 largest companies in Indonesia.

Erick said, this achievement is an appreciation for the successful transformation of state-owned companies that continue to move in a better direction.

"Alhamdulillah, if we look at the four of the top five, BUMN. Of the top ten, there are seven SOEs, this is an extraordinary thing and deserves appreciation," said Erick in Jakarta, Thursday, August 10.

In the list, Pertamina sits at the top with revenue of Rp1,323 trillion, PLN is in second place with revenue of Rp441 trillion, BRI is in fourth place with Rp208 trillion, and Mandiri is in fifth place with Rp161 trillion. Then, Telkom is in sixth place with Rp147 trillion and MIND ID is in seventh place with Rp126 trillion.

In total, 18 SOEs are included in the 100 largest companies in Indonesia, even almost half of Fortune Indonesia's total revenue comes from SOEs. This is proof that the hard work of directors, commissioners, and all SOEs brings positive results for the performance of SOEs," said Erick.

Furthermore, Erick admitted that he was grateful for a number of transformational steps, both in terms of changing business models, holding, and innovation, which succeeded in bringing significant growth to SOEs.

That way, Erick assesses that SOEs can further contribute to the country and society. This is in accordance with our initial commitment, SOEs must be healthy, this is proven by the Fortune Indonesia 100 report, hopefully SOEs can optimize growth for people's programs, including creating jobs," said Erick.
