PT PLN (Persero) will prepare an advanced electricity system for the Presidential Palace in the State Capital (IKN) Nusantara.

Later this electricity system will carry the concept of state of the art of technology based on environmentally friendly, beautiful electricity supply and supported by smart technology. The same system has been implemented at the Jakarta Presidential Palace.

PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo revealed that the revitalization of electricity that has been carried out by PLN at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta is a stage to build a more reliable electricity system in IKN. For the construction of the IKN electricity system, PLN adheres to the principles of Green, Beautiful and Smart based on Artificial Intelligence (AI).

"The revitalization of electricity at this Palace is like a prototype for us to build an even bigger electricity system, namely the electricity system at IKN," said Darmawan, quoted Monday, August 7.

PLN has prepared an integrated modern electrical system to ensure reliable electricity without flickering. Electricity for the palace will be supplied from 4 generator-backed main substations with a capacity of 4 x 2,000 kilovolt amperes (kVA) and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) 8 x 400 kVA that can operate continuously.

Meanwhile, to maintain beauty, equipment in the form of transformers, UPS and generators will be planted in the ground with a depth of approximately 10 meters, and all equipment is guaranteed security. Furthermore, for cable arrangement, it will be done using an underground cable network, so as to maintain beauty without cables in the air.

"We want the electricity system of the Presidential Palace in IKN, such as the electricity conditions of the Jakarta Palace, which are far more reliable, stronger, and more modern. Using the state of the art of technology, this system is the most sophisticated in Indonesia and even Southeast Asia," said Darmawan.

In addition, PLN is also ready to build Smartgrid which is integrated with Control Center, and Advanced Meter Infrastructure (AMI) to connect the IKN Presidential Palace electricity system with new and renewable energy sources (EBT). Meanwhile, the IKN electricity supply will be supported by Solar Power Plants (PLTS) which are spread by 50 megawatts (MW) and additional hydroelectric power plants (PLTA).

Then to realize environmentally friendly means of transportation, PLN will build an electric vehicle infrastructure that reaches the entire IKN area. Not only that, PLN also supports the education sector in the IKN area by building PLN's IT vocational school.

"All development concepts have been well communicated by PLN to relevant stakeholders. This is our shared commitment, especially PLN, to build a Green, Beautiful and Smart electricity system for the Presidential Palace in the new capital city," concluded Darmawan.

In the future, the concept of electricity like this will also be applied in other important and strategic places in cities or in every important place in Indonesia.
