Session II of Bocimi Toll Road Operational Schedule Expedited From Plan

JAKARTA - The operational schedule for the Bogor-Ciawi-Sukabumi (Bocimi) Toll Road Session II section of the Cigombong-Parungkuda section was accelerated from the planned Monday, August 7 August to Sunday, August 6.

"Due to the high interest of toll road users, we have taken a policy to operate earlier, namely on Sunday (6/8/2023) around 14.00 p.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB)," said Site Quality Safety Health Environment Manager PT Waskita Karya Aswin Januar in Sukabumi, West Java, quoted from Antara.

According to Aswin, the acceleration of the operation of the Cigombong Parungkuda Toll Road section is because after the toll road was inaugurated by President Jokowi on Friday (4/8/2023), vehicles coming from the direction of Jabodetabek to Sukabumi have increased. It is suspected that apart from traveling they also want to try out this new toll road.

Thus, for the next two weeks, all vehicles entering the Bocimi Session II Cigombong-Parungkuda Toll Road will be free of charge, except for vehicles using the Session I toll road, which will be charged IDR 14,000.

It is hoped that the operation of this route will reduce the density of vehicles on the Bogor-Sukabumi main route, especially since Saturday the volume of vehicles entering and leaving Sukabumi has increased.

From observations at the location, on Saturday 5 August there was a long traffic jam on the Bogor-Sukabumi main route, to be precise, starting from Cicurug District to Cibadak, Sukabumi Regency.

Meanwhile, the car driver from Tangerang, Banten A Handoko said he departed from Tangerang to go to Sukabumi City at around 08.00 WIB on Saturday and arrived at Sukabumi City at around 15.00 p.m. (WIB) or for seven hours.

Initially, he thought that the Session II Bocimi Toll Road section had been opened, but only received information that it was open on Monday, August 7.

"Since traffic has been congested at Cicurug toll exit gate, from Cicurug to Parungkuda it takes up to two hours and from Parungkuda to Cibadak it takes up to one hour more," he said.

Almost all the way, four-wheeled vehicles or private cars entering the Sukabumi area have police number B.

Contacted separately, Kasatlantas Polres Sukabumi AKP Sujana Awin Umar appealed to toll road users to be careful, especially the toll exit access to Cibadak, the road is narrow, so motorists must focus and be careful in anticipating traffic accidents.

His party has also placed personnel at the Parungkuda toll gate in anticipation of the dense volume of vehicles entering and leaving the toll road.
