JAKARTA - The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) Washington DC in collaboration with the Secretary of State (SoS) District of Columbia (DC), Kimberly Basset and SoS New Jersey, Tahesha Way as the President of the National Association of Secretaries of States (NASS), and Leslie Reynolds as the Executive Director of NASS to hold a reception to introduce Indonesian culinary and arts and culture.

In the reception, the Indonesian Embassy promoted superior MSME products such as coffee, tempeh chips, handicrafts and children's toys, besides that, Indonesian culinary delights such as satay, gado-gado, fried rice and market snacks were also provided for invitees who praised Indonesia's culinary diversity.

Apart from culinary, the event also promoted Indonesian arts and culture by featuring the Pendet Dance by Ni Made Wiratinin and Mask Dance by I Wayan Dibia, a Balinese artist who received the Padhma Shri Award from the Government of India.

The Indonesian Ambassador to AS Rosan P. Roeslani underlined the benefits of increasing Indonesia-US cooperation, which both adhere to democratic principles, is to advance Indonesia's national interests.

"The commitment of the two countries to uphold democratic principles provides great opportunities to strengthen strategic partnerships in various fields," said Rosan.
